Morten Koch Andersen

Morten Koch Andersen specialize in the interdisciplinary study of the nexus between corruption and human rights. He has worked on corruption and human rights for more than a decade, with a special interest in political mobilization, rule of law practices, impunity and citizenship. Recently, he has develop a research program on corruption at ports; Prevention of Maritime and Port Corruption – PREMPOC, addressing global infrastructures, order of the seas and maritime governance. The research is a collaboration and international consortium of high-level researchers for the purpose of assessing and studying the incidence and impact of bribery in the global port and shipping sector. The members are Copenhagen University-Centre for Global Criminality, Danish Institute for International Studies, Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN), Roskilde University, Soka University, Southern Denmark University and World Maritime University.

SafeSeas produces original research, commentary and guidance for policy makers and practitioners on security governance, capacity building and regional cooperation in the maritime environment.
